People like me love to explore and find something new. Even if I am at a very deserted place, I will always try to figure out the best way for me to appreciate and enjoy life. Inevitably, we only live once. So, live it to the fullest and why wanna waste it? In this entry, I am trying to promote a city in Borneo Island, Sarawak. For your information, Sarawak is one of the thirteen states in Malaysia. Although it is located in Borneo Island, it is currently owned by the Government of Malaysia. Borneo Island is split up to three different nations, the other two would be Indonesia and Brunei. Sarawak is the largest state in Malaysia. The capital, Kuching has a population around 600,000 to 800,000 , roughly. Kuching is made up of people of different races, with the majority being the Chinese, Malay and the Dayaks( Iban & Bidayuh). The former British Colony, Sarawak gained its independence in September 16, 1965 which simultaneously resulted in the formation of the Federation of Malaysia.

- Malaysia Airlines
- Airasia
- Hong Kong Airlines
- Malindo Air
- Silk Air
- Rayani Air (temporarily suspended)
- Xpress Air
Most of the flights are connecting flight where you will either stop in Kuala Lumpur if you are from Europe and Kota Kinabalu if you are from Central Asia. However, Hong Kong Airlines will start to operate direct flights from Hong Kong to Kuching (something interesting). I guess we will see a lot of Hongki after this.
Regarding on the place to stay, if you are on a budget trip, no worries. A lot of budget hotel here. If you are rich enough also no worries, exclusive hotel here are reserved for you. Hilton Hotel, Pullman, Waterfront Hotel, Four Points by Sheraton, you name it. All are available.
Food? No worries. Kuching is a food heaven. You can try the local delicacies, western nor Asians, all we have it here. Seafood? You can eat as much as you can. The seafood here is so cheap as regarded by most people.
Shopping mall? I think I'm sick of shopping. Too many shopping mall in Kuching. With such a small population, Kuching has a lot of shopping mall (including under construction).
Kuching is an amazing place. If you wanna read more about Kuching, click here .
